UFC 118 on Pay Per View in Las Vegas

There is no doubt that Las Vegas is one of the UFC’s biggest markets. The city’s population has supported the fight game for years and when Dana takes his show on the road there are always people looking to see the fights with friends.
Luckily Vegas has many establishments offering the fights on pay per view to those of you stuck in Sin City.

Allison Duck has compiled a list for the Las Vegas Sun that includes contact information and as usual UnfilteredMMA.Com has compiled a nation wide list.

Our pick off the strip is either the Palms or The Hooters Casino and on the Strip you Can’t go wrong with the Crown Club at the Rio. After the fights they have a low rider model contest. For an upscale experience on the strip check out Carmel at Bellagio.

Remember that most of these establishments have a cover charge but almost all Buffalo Wild Wings show the fights for free.

Great Sports Bars to watch the BCS Game

Vegas has great clubs and world class entertainment but it also has some pretty nice sports bars that are a great place to kick back, have a beer, wings, and watch the big game. From the ESPN zone to BW3′s you can see the big games on big screens and enjoy yourself.

Check out these places for tonights BCS game.

Blondies – Located in Planet Hollywood this bar has 40 plasma screen TVs showing the big games. A very attractive wait staff, and great food. If you are the competitive type yourself you can even get into some action with their beer pong tournaments.

ESPN Zone – They bring the best sports to your TV at home and they can bring you a big game experience that many others cannot. The ESPN Zone in the New York New York hotel has been voted the best sports bar in town by the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Buffalo Wild Wings – Located in the Galleria at Sunset this chain can bring you a piece of the home town sports bar to the Vegas Strip. The wings are among the best and the beer is always cold. You can’t argue with the huge TVs and friendly staff either.

Hooters – In most cities Hooters is a smaller restaurant but in Vegas they have their own hotel. Check out the scenery at the pool before the game in the bar. You can’t beat their wings and they have a great variety of beers.

Kim Kardashian and Brittny Gastineau Hit the Town

In town for some New Years Eve fun Kim Kardashian and Brittny Gastineau hit up Eve night club in the new City Center on December 30th. The two treats looked stunning with their lollipops.

The World’s Most Expensive Cupcake

A trip to Vegas is a time that a lot of people lose control over their pocket books and waistlines (that is why the town is so fun). For people that want to do both at once The Palazzo Resort has something for you in their Sweet Surrenders Cupcake Shop. The Decadence D’Or runs $750 dollars and is made with a list of ingredients that will wow almost anyone.

According to the Luxury Insider you will find “100-year-old Louis XIII de Remy Martin Cognac, Palmira Single Estate Chocolate from the rare Porcelain Crillo bean, Tahita Gold Vanilla Caviar (the most labour-intensive agricultural crop on the planet) and edible gold flakes” in the batter.

Lady Gaga offered Palms Deal

According to the Daily Star George Maloof has become such a fan of Lady Gaga that he has made her a multi million dollar deal to become a resident artist at his Las Vegas Palms casino. Saying that the 23 year old is a “Superstar” Maloof focused on her craft performances saying “She’s dedicated to being the top artist in the world.”

Gaga would join some other high profile Divas like Toni Braxton, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion. Who have all had long term engadgements in the city. Although, Gaga seems to be earlier in her career than others who have been resident performers.

Being a resident performer is not a new thing to Vegas. The Rat Pack had resident gigs at casinos, Wayne Newton may not live at the casino but his act is a resident at the Tropicana and has previously been at the Hilton and Stardust.

So what could Gaga expect as a resident performer? First of all she would receive a multi-million dollar contract for a set number of shows over a period of time. She would be able to still do shows in other locations on off days as well. Financially, the deal may not be worth as much as a big concert tour as a headliner but it includes teh perk of smaller audiences, no travel, and less risk on ticket sales.

Gaga would also have the chance to live in the hotel and take advantage of the amenities available there.

For more on resident acts in Vegas see Orbitz post on Divas of the Desert.
