Lady Gaga offered Palms Deal

According to the Daily Star George Maloof has become such a fan of Lady Gaga that he has made her a multi million dollar deal to become a resident artist at his Las Vegas Palms casino. Saying that the 23 year old is a “Superstar” Maloof focused on her craft performances saying “She’s dedicated to being the top artist in the world.”

Gaga would join some other high profile Divas like Toni Braxton, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion. Who have all had long term engadgements in the city. Although, Gaga seems to be earlier in her career than others who have been resident performers.

Being a resident performer is not a new thing to Vegas. The Rat Pack had resident gigs at casinos, Wayne Newton may not live at the casino but his act is a resident at the Tropicana and has previously been at the Hilton and Stardust.

So what could Gaga expect as a resident performer? First of all she would receive a multi-million dollar contract for a set number of shows over a period of time. She would be able to still do shows in other locations on off days as well. Financially, the deal may not be worth as much as a big concert tour as a headliner but it includes teh perk of smaller audiences, no travel, and less risk on ticket sales.

Gaga would also have the chance to live in the hotel and take advantage of the amenities available there.
